SESSION: The Crookes

in Sessions by

Formed in Sheffield, UK the band named themselves after their home suburb Crookes. Compared to such bands as The Smiths, Orange Juice, The Everly Brothers and championed by NME, The Guardian and several aclaimed Sheffield musicians, they’ve named their sound as “new pop”. They released debut album ‘Chasing After Ghosts’ on Fierce Panda Records in March 2011 and recently released their second album “Hold Fast” in June 2012.

With critics comparing his work to the likes of Panda Bear, El Guincho and Pantha Du Prince.
