SESSION: The Luyas

in Sessions by

Out of the bustling music scene of Montreal comes indie-rocker’s The Luyas. Their debut album ‘Faker Death’ was released in 2007 on Pome Records (You’ve Changed Records). In the summer of 2010 the band signed to Dead Oceans Records after Pome disbanded. They released their follow up album ‘Too Beautiful To Work‘ in February 2011, for which they recieved a Polaris Music Prize shortlist nomination. The band switched to Paper Bag Records for their third album release ‘Animator‘ in October 2012. We caught them while touring with fellow Canadians Destroyer on their short European tour in support of ‘Animator’.
